Comic Quest
This year's Free Comic Book Day was an even bigger success than last year's! We opened the store at 9:00 to a long line of people waiting to be among the first to snatch up their free exclusive comics. On the way in the store, the E'ville Jedi (official Star Wars Club of the tri-state) were set up to help usher customers into the store. There were Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, Rebel Soldiers, a Tie-Fighter Pilot, and Luke Skywalker present along with non-costumed members. They had great information to share with fans and were giving away door prizes of their own along with The Battlestar Gallactica/ Lone Ranger flip book.

Once inside the gaming room, customers were welcomed by three long tables full of free comics! After grabbing up all the loot, though, the opportunities for good times had not diminished. Michael Kasinger is a freelance artist who was there to talk to our guests and do head sketches. Jason Craig, artist and art director for Zenescope who has worked on Grimm Fairy Tales 11, Noble Causes 25, Evilwaise, and Neverland and the upcoming Se7en 5 and ReAnimator mini series was on hand to talk to fans and do sketches for them. Nathan Bonner, creator of the online comic Indavo and Wes Bernick, a freelance artist, were also happy to talk with our customers about their love of comics and their role in the field. We also were honored to have Joseph Morris, owner and operator of TorC Press and publisher of SDF and Sean Deleany from Digital Webbing (publisher of Digital Webbing Presents) on site to get to know our customers and offer aspiring artists a few pointers.

If all of that weren't enough, we had Brad, our HeroClix envoy, offer game demonstrations for people to learn about how to play and pick up their FCBD exclusive clix figure, and "CQ Showcase" was for sale for the very first time (a book created by local artists and published by Comic Quest), and several of its contributors were on hand to talk with people! Even with all of that going on, there was also a female Green Lantern and her pal Spiderman mixing it up with everyone, keeping the crowd under control, and stopping to pose for a few pictures! We had a great day, and were happy to see our efforts to say "Thanks!" to our loyal customers get such an awesome reception!
